Overview
The trip across the Sar Pass Trek is one of the most well-known ones in the Shivalik range, and for good reason: it offers breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape that are sure to leave you speechless. This walk provides access to some of the most breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas and its peaks.
The path begins in the well-known Israeli community of India and winds its way through a variety of landscapes, including deep pine and rhododendron woods, verdant meadows, and hamlets. The Sar Pass journey, which is really a mountain ridge, is one that is perfect for first-time hikers.
Trekking across the Sar Pass provides us with peaceful vistas of the Parvati River, which runs through the Parvati Valley. The height of the Sar Pass walk is 4,215 metres, while the distance of the Sar Pass trek is 49 km.
This walk also includes a path that takes you past some of the most beautiful campsites in the area, such as Min Thach, Grahan Village, Biskari, and Nagaru.
The journey starts at Kasol, also called the “backpacker’s paradise,” which is also the name of the town. Every month, Kasol attracts a large number of travellers in search of rest and relaxation, the most majority of them are tourists from other countries who are interested in experiencing the alternative way of life that is prevalent in the area.
Kasol, which is located in the Parvati valley and is surrounded on all sides by pine trees and snow-capped mountains, serves as the starting point for numerous hikes in the area. Because there are so many Israelis who live here and because the local cuisine is so authentically Israeli, Kasol is sometimes referred to be a miniature version of Israel inside India.
