The trip across the Sar Pass Trek is one of the most well-known ones in the Shivalik range, and for good reason: it offers breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape that are sure to leave you speechless. This walk provides access to some of the most breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas and its peaks.

The path begins in the well-known Israeli community of India and winds its way through a variety of landscapes, including deep pine and rhododendron woods, verdant meadows, and hamlets. The Sar Pass journey, which is really a mountain ridge, is one that is perfect for first-time hikers.

Trekking across the Sar Pass provides us with peaceful vistas of the Parvati River, which runs through the Parvati Valley. The height of the Sar Pass walk is 4,215 metres, while the distance of the Sar Pass trek is 49 km.

Complete Itinerary

When you get to Kasol, the little settlement that's situated in the Parvati Valley, you may check into our campground there. After you have collected your packed lunch and listened to the briefing that has been prepared for you by your Trek Leader, you will then begin your journey from Kasol to the settlement of Grahan. The path leads through thick woods and provides stunning vistas of the Parvati Valley as it weaves its way forward. The tranquil atmosphere of the walk is enhanced by the fact that you will be passing past a number of little streams and waterfalls.The route gets more difficult to navigate and more difficult to climb as you go higher. You should arrive at Grahan village by the late afternoon. It is a picture-perfect hamlet that is tucked in the middle of the mountains. You will be greeted with open arms since the community is well-known for the rich cultural legacy as well as the wonderful hospitality it offers. Spend the night in one of the campers, which are surrounded by the breathtaking natural scenery of the highlands. You will fall asleep thanks to the soothing sounds of nature, and when you wake up, you will feel revitalised and ready to go on with the next part of your adventure.

The path that we are going to take today takes us through some beautiful oak and pine trees. Your senses will feel revitalised thanks to the verdant vegetation and fresh mountain air. As you go to higher elevations, the tranquil atmosphere is complemented by a number of little streams. When you go to Min Thach, set up your tent there. Relax in the calm atmosphere and take in the breathtaking view of the sky filled with stars as the sun sets. Awaken feeling ready to continue the journey into the following day.

The third day of the walk is a particularly difficult one. Make your way up to Nagaru, which is situated at an elevation of 4,000 metres (12,500 feet). The path is quite steep and snow-covered all the way through. During your voyage, you will need to exercise extreme caution. You should arrive at Nagaru during the late afternoon. Overnight camping is available at Nagaru.

On this day, our walk to the summit of Sar Pass will get off to a very early start (sometime around 2:00 AM in the night). Trek in the direction of Biskeri Thach through the Sar Pass, which is situated at an elevation of 4,200 metres. The path leads across mountain ranges that are covered with snow. Getting across the Sar Pass provides one a feeling of personal achievement. Arrive in Biskeri Thach no later than the late afternoon. At Biskeri Thach, you may set up a camp for the night.

The fifth and last day of the walk starts with a feeling of satisfaction and excitement at having made it thus far. After breakfast, you will get an early start on the journey down to Barsheni. The journey comes to an end in Barsheni, a quaint little town in the mountains. The descent is not very difficult, so take advantage of the opportunity to take in the breathtaking panoramas of the mountain ranges and verdant woods that surround you. You will have some time at your disposal after you have arrived in Barsheni to look about the hamlet, talk to the residents, and go shopping for mementos if you so choose. The journey will come to a conclusion in Kasol Basecamp, which can be reached from Barsheni.

The best time to visit or book Sar Pass trek package is April to June.

 

Sar pass Trek is suitable for both beginners and experienced trekkers. Any age group from 10 to 17 is good to apply for a first-time trekking experience. Adults and seniors should carry doctors' notes for their fitness requirements for the journey. They should be fit enough to cover a 4 km distance in 30 minutes and should be able to carry at least a 10 kg backpack.

Temperature is generally 15-20 degree Celsius in day time 5 to 7 degree Celsius in night time.
