Overview
Our Shrikhand Mahadev trekking trip is an affordable trek that lets you embark on this pilgrim trail to fulfil your devotion towards Lord Shiva. The most admired aspect of this best trekking point in India is its astounding views of the Himalayan ranges, right from the Parvati Valley. When you are on this trekking trip, you will also be seeing the ranges of Rangrik, Jorkanden and Kullu in Hansbeshan and Kinnaur.
There are several other peaks that you will get to admire while you are determined to complete this trek. When you start with this trek, you will find yourself closer to Lord Shiva with every milestone that you achieve. You will start this trek from Jaon Village.
Undoubtedly, Shrikhand Mahadev trekking trip is one of the most challenging decisions for all the adventure enthusiasts of the world. Embrace yourselves to witness the 75 ft. tall & 45 ft. thick Shivling on your way to the top, which makes it the best trek point in India. Following that, you will also be witnessing some of the best local settlements, such as Thachry and Singha Village.
Even though it is an affordable trek packages, you still need to be mentally and physically prepared to take on this complex journey. Most of the common tourists whom we attend for the Shrikhand Mahadev trekking are the devotees of Lord Shiva, and their determination doesn’t let anything deviate from their pilgrimage.
Also, The Shrikhand Mahadev Trek Package is one of the most challenging routes to the sacred home of Lord Shiva, which is located in the Shimla area. Trekking is the method that the pilgrims use to traverse the mountainous terrain that lies ahead of them. In order to obtain the favour of Lord Shiva, pilgrims are required to complete what is widely regarded as one of the world’s most challenging hikes and to ascend an altitude of 5227 metres. The Nirmand side and the Arsu side are the two primary paths that may be taken in order to complete the journey. Both of these routes are described further below. The rock-made shivling is about twenty-five metres (about seventy feet) in height and is situated at an altitude of 19,000 metres above sea level. This shivling is the primary draw of the pilgrimage yatra. The yatra takes place on the evening before Guru Poornima, which falls on either July or August, depending on the year. It is best to avoid travelling during the winter months of October through February because of the increased likelihood of severe storms and deluges as well as the lower average temperatures. While travelling to the sacred site, you will get the opportunity to take in the beautiful scenery of the Himalayan mountain ranges from the picturesque valley of the Parvati River. During the course of the hike, there are also a number of temples that travellers have the opportunity to explore, including the Temple, the Bhimakali Temple, and the Hatu Temple. It would be a shame to miss the opportunities for sightseeing in Jaun Village, Thachdu, and Kali Ghat.
Complete Itinerary
Beautiful villages and towns may be found in and around Shimla, such as Kufri and Narkanda. Take pleasure in the serene scenery. There will be a dinner service at Jaon. The Himalayan Mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop for the picturesque town of Jaon. This settlement, which is nestled in the middle of towering mountains and is surrounded by temples, fields of wildflowers, grassy meadows, and fields of Rajmah, is stunningly beautiful.
You should get an early start on the walk after breakfast, and you should be ready to walk. You will get the opportunity to see Shrikhand Mahadev, who originates from the Jaon village. The first halt that occurs after passing Jaon is Singhad, which is after three km. While you wait for the rest of the crew, you may sign up for the trip and relax in Singhad. The next location that you will reach is called Barati Nala. There will be a bridge that you have to cross, and then after that there will be a difficult trek up to Thachdu, which will be the true test. Climb with caution and in baby steps, don't be in a hurry, and don't do it alone. On the way to Thachdu, passengers will be offered a hot meal.
The surrounding area of Thachdu is adorned by oak and deodar woods. During our time in Thachru, we will be sleeping in the campgrounds that are located here.
Your day will begin at six o'clock in the morning. After cleaning up and enjoying some tea and cookies, you should be able to make it to the summit of Kali in about two hours. In the first three km, there is a rise that goes in a direct direction from Thachru to Kali summit. At Kali Top, you could have breakfast served to you. Incredible mountainous panoramas can be seen in every direction from Kali Ghati.
After a scrumptious breakfast, we will begin our walk in the direction of Bheemdwar. Going downhill till you reach Bheemtalai, which is around 1.5 km distant. Take a break at Bheemtalai and then continue your journey; the path will take you both uphill and downhill during the day. The next stop will be at Kunsha, and a delicious lunch will be provided somewhere along the way. The landscapes of Kunsha are so breathtaking that they will take your breath away. You won't be able to stop clicking on photographs once you get started. We go in the direction of Bheemdwar. The area is beautifully landscaped with a variety of bushes and wildflowers. We'll arrive at Bheemdwar in the evening, and there will be an early meal waiting for us at the campground there when we get there.
Today, we shall get this day started bright and early. Please turn on your headlights and continue going in the direction of Parvati Bagh. The Parvati Bagh will provide breakfast in the morning. When you visit Parvati Bagh, you are going to see a lot of Brahma Kamal. This location may be found immediately to the south of Shrikhand Mountain. After you have traversed Parvati Bagh, you will be travelling in the direction of Nayan Sarovar, which is around 2 km away. The people who lived there thought that the lake had been created by the tears of the goddess Parvati. It is still frozen over. As soon as you take the next step, you will get a view of Shrikhand peak, and you will arrive at Bheembaie not long after that. The trail through Bheembaie is quite difficult to navigate due to the presence of several moraines and stone tunnels. You will reach the pinnacle in an hour, and when you do, you will feel an overwhelming sense of delight. Darshan and Arti should be done all the way around the summit. Seek blessings. The photographers can't stop raving about the photographs they took of the breathtaking scenery. Following the photo shoots, we will make our way back to Bheemdwar, where we will spend the night camped in the same location. At the campground, there will be a meal waiting for you.
There are two ways to go to Shrikhand Mahadev from Parvati bagh; the one that we choose will be determined by the snow conditions. The alternative to the Nayan Sarovar trail is a shorter, more difficult route that is more vertically challenging. The leader of the trek will make the final choice over which path will be taken.
After having some hot tea at the campground, you should get started on your walk and make your way down to Thachdu through Kali Ghati and Kunsha. On the way, we will stop for breakfast as well as lunch. Dinner and the night's lodging will be in Thachdu.
The journey comes to an end here in Jaon, and we will say our goodbyes to the mountain crew before heading back home with a wealth of unforgettable experiences. After warming up with some hot tea at the campground, you should get up early and begin the descent towards Jaon. Breakfast and lunch served hot en route. Dinner and an overnight stay are both included at Jaon.
After being delivered to the Chandigarh Railway station by our staff from Jaon, you will then be free to make the rest of your day's plans in accordance with your own preferences. We should arrive at the city of Chandigarh about 10 o'clock at night, in the late evening. Make your subsequent travel arrangements appropriately.
